UK Construction Week: What CHL will be doing there
If you’re involved within the construction and build industry, chances are you’ve probably heard of UK Construction Week: the UK’s largest construction event. Their 3-day exhibition held in both London and Birmingham brings together all stakeholders within the construction world, across every aspect of design, build and product innovation. As the largest event dedicated to sharing knowledge, championing good practice and problem solving, it’s the place to be for the whole industry to look, discuss, learn and network; providing solutions for when, where and how we build our future.
The Birmingham exhibition, held at the NEC, will take place 5th-7th October 2021, hosting 300 companies who will be showcasing over 6000 products. Along with four conferences, 15 CPD and Workshop hubs and three major award presentations, UK Construction Week Birmingham 2021 will mark a celebratory focal point as construction can share learnings from the recovery and look to a bright future. It will also be partnered by The Times, with editorial support for the event.
What will CHL be doing?
Construction Helpline will be attending the exhibition for all three days and will be showcasing our products and services that have helped thousands of construction workers excel in their careers. This includes our CSCS card range, NVQ courses and health and safety training. We’ll also be giving our guests an opportunity to take one of our mock tests. These are usually taken by labourers who wish to gain a CSCS card or NVQ. Our CEO, Umer Mansoor, will also be doing a talk about the construction environment and the obstacles it faces including skills, education, and inclusion.
We’ll also be bringing Amos Simba from Black Professionals in Construction (BPIC) and Christina Demetriou, a former tipper driver. Amos is the founder of BPIC, a built environment inclusion business working with industry organisations to improve ethnic minority representation as well as retention. Christina is a former tipper driver who will share her own experiences about being a woman within the construction industry and how more inclusion is needed.
