L3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering (Construction) – Solid
Description :
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Plastering – Solid qualification has been developed for delivery in a working environment; this means you need to be employed to study this qualification. It has been designed to develop and recognise your skills, knowledge and competence so that you can work in Plastering – Solid within the construction industry or progress onto further learning. These NVQ qualifications request the learner to demonstrate, in a real workplace environment, that you are competent against a set of performance statements. You are assessed by an occupationally competent and qualified assessor whose job is to work with you and help you through your programme of learning.
Course Content :
The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge in these mandatory units:
– Producing Complex Internal Solid Plastering Finishes in the Workplace
– Producing Complex External Rendering Finishes in the Workplace
– Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
– Confirming Work Activities and Resources for an Occupational Work Area in the Workplace
– Developing and Maintaining Good Occupational Working Relationships in the Workplace
– Confirming the Occupational Method of Work in the Workplace
The learner will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in one of the following optional units:
– Installing Direct Bond Dry Linings in the Workplace
– Installing Mechanically Fixed Plasterboard in the Workplace
– Running In-situ Mouldings in the Workplace
Eligibility :
The minimum age requirement for this qualification is 16+; there are no further entry requirements to take this qualification. This means that you can undertake this qualification without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area.
Duration :
3-6 months. Whilst you are working on site you will be visited by your assessor who will guide you through each part of the process, observe you working and provide the highest levels of support until you complete your qualification.
